Hooves & Feathers is a heartfelt, family-owned small business rooted in the farmlands of Caldwell, Idaho. Nestled among Highland cows and fresh country air, this family lovingly crafts handmade soaps and other farm goods with care, tradition, and a whole lot of heart.

For their rebrand, my goal was to capture the heart behind their handmade soaps—the rugged charm of farm life, the authenticity of their process, and the love they pour into every bar. Each product is a reflection of their passion for simple living, quality ingredients, and the timeless beauty of doing things the old-fashioned way.

My focus was to keep the design simple and meaningful while incorporating elements important to them—like a touch of ruggedness, horn imagery, and their farm’s identity. Initially, they considered using "H&F," but after realizing their cows are tagged with "HXF," we embraced that as the foundation for the brand moving forward.

Details

As part of HXF’s rebrand, I developed their visual identity—from logo and color palette to tagline, textures, patterns, and business cards. We landed on the tagline “Tradition with a Timeless Touch,” which captures the heart of their handmade, heritage-inspired products.

The very first day they launched their new branding at a local market, they sold out completely—marking their most successful event to date and prompting them to restock sooner than expected.
